The 3rd GEO Data Providers Workshop was successfully held at ESA, Frascati (IT)

It is a pleasure to announce that the 3rd GEO Data Providers Workshop was successfully held from 2-4 May 2018 at the European Space Agency in Frascati, Italy.
The three-days event, co-organized by the GEO Secretariat, the European Space Agency (ESA), CNR-IIA, United States Geological Survey (USGS) and the University of Geneva, was attended by over 200 participants from more than 130 organizations, 33 countries, and 5 continents. The technical program was intensive, with 97 speakers, 26 sessions and 11 training sessions covering a wide range of topics related to evolution of the GEOSS Platform and its value to data users and providers.

Great to see such a solid collaboration between ESA, USGS, and the other organizers. Improving the GEOSS platform and making Earth observation data more accessible is incredibly useful for developers and researchers who actually build on this data.
